Over Dimension Cargo

Over Dimensional Cargo or ODC refers to any cargo or items larger than a vehicle. Simply put, over dimensional cargo is freight that goes beyond the standard cargo deck, whether by 20 feet, 40 feet, or more, and extends outside the loading deck of the vehicle shipping the goods.

Break Bulk

Break bulk is the system of transporting goods in pieces separately, rather than being shipped in a container. Goods shipped in crates, bags, boxes, drums, barrels without the use of container are referred to as break bulk cargoes.

Bulk Cargo

Bulk cargo is a shipping term for items that are shipped loosely and unpackaged as opposed to being shipped in packages or containers. An item may be classified as bulk cargo if it is not containerized and easily secured on a vessel. Items such as oil, grain, or coal are all examples of bulk cargo.

Liquid Cargo

Liquid bulk cargo refers to goods transported in liquid forms, such as oil, chemicals, and liquefied gasses. Liquid bulk cargo is usually stored in specialized tanks and transported in specialized ships known as tankers.

Reefer Cargo

The term 'reefer' is used in shipping to refer to refrigerated ships and refrigerated shipping containers that transport perishable commodities by sea. Temperature-controlled transportation is used for perishables such as fruit, meat, fish, vegetables, and dairy products.

Dangerous Cargo

Dangerous goods (also referred to as Hazardous Cargo) means the substances, materials and articles that are covered by the IMDG Code and is cargo that is considered to be hazardous because of its flammable, corrosive, poisonous nature or other properties.
